Internet Explorer starts by itself when my laptop comes back from standby?



               
It started by itself one day, where whenever I would turn my computer back on from standby, internet explorer would automatically open. Is there some type of virus that might be making it do this. I tried doing a virus scan with trendmicro housecall, but the window will always close, like 2 minutes in. Whats wrong with my computer?!

I think it is not unusual if the computer comes out of standby. Still you should scan your computer using the free anti spyware programs below (you can use them all)

Does it do that when you turn your computer on (not from standby)?

Does it take you to your homepage? Or some page with advertisements and stuff?

It might be spyware, but I doubt it.
