IE is often quickest for dial up connections. Broadband no difference. Firefox has fewer problems as people write more viruses and spyware to take advantage of IE. Mozilla also blocks "pop ups" those annoying ads. You can have both installed at the same time to compare. If you stick with IE make sure you have all the security updates from microsoft web site.
Firefox. It is faster and the interface is better. It does a lot more with plug-ins so you can customize it. Finally it has a spell checker built in for forms like what I am typing here. And it is free, so it doesn't cost anything to try. It doesn't use ActiveX so it is more secure, although some sites require this and that can be annoying.
