Answers: Most credible caused by a corrupted toolbar or other plug-in. Go into Internet Options (Start > Run > INETCPL.CPL) and afterwards to the Advanced tab. Disable the item "Enable third-party browser extensions", then close and restart IE. If it works, you can stir back into IE option, turn the 3rd party picking back on, after go to the Programs tab and Manage Add-ons. You'll own to go through the items here one by one, disable, restart IE and theory test, and if it works, you've found the culprit. Also in the Manage Add-ons account, look for anything that may be listed as Unknown or Damaged - these are nearly other troublemakers. Or, if you don't have any add-ons that you definitely need, basically keep 3rd get-together extensions disabled.
I prefer Firefox as well. But if you really want IE 7 to work, you could lately uninstall & reinstall. Either from Control Panel/Add Remove Programs/Add Remove Windows Components - or Download a fresh copy of IE7 from MS website. It's the new anti-productivity phase built into the software for anyone using FireFox.
It keeps you trying to digit out why IE 7 launches and shuts right down again so you don't take anything else done.
i searched Microsoft and here is two reasons why IE7 closes
best you see yourself
affix this to your favourites
http://support.microsoft.com/
on the LHS column click internet explorer 7
type closes in the hunt
Also
Over time IE7 seems to set its own (or programs do) tick boxes within the advance tab.
In IE7 (IE6) Tools >Internet Options >Advance Tab
Click Restore mortgage settings defaults
Tick hollow temp files when browser closes (this empties the cache, which save empty, will stop you from going online).
Bullet disable phishing filter (IE7)
Delete Browser History, cookies the undamaged lot regularly.
Close the browser to set the settings.
NOTE: 2008 will be the year of add on malware and spyware. I support NOT to install active x when asked to on unknown websites. If you allow an live x install and it contains adware or such, no antivirus or anti-spyware will find it, because you have given blessing to install it. The cleanup programs think that you want it installed. It will be exceedingly difficult to remove.
Optional speed fix
=============
If you want IE7 to speed up and work like IE6 afterwards do this (you can undo it later)
Click tools >direct add ons > see /disable >select each donate on and bullet the disable button
Close the browser to set the settings.
