If I keyed in an address in internet explorer , how would I then remove it from the address bar ?

Answers:
Go to TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS and click CLEAR HISTORY. This will do it.
Those addresses stay in the address bar and are known as the History. You can wipe the history by going into thetools menu and selecting the 'internet options' option. In there somewhere you will see a 'clear history' button. This is assuming that you are using Internet Explorer as your browser...
Highlight the address (wipe the address with your cursor left click held down) press Delete on your key board.
Sorry thort you ment on page.
If you don't want to lose all of your history, you can go to...

C:\Documents and Settings\[YOUR USER ID]\Local Settings\History\

...from here you can find items grouped by Today, Yesterday, Last Week, 2 Weeks Ago and 3 Weeks Ago...

Search for the one you want and delete it!
Using "Clear history" feature you can completely clear drop down location bar history in Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape and Opera. To clear Url AutoComplete, use "Clear history" feature.
