2 more questions, where do I start running my laptop in safe mode, and 2, i am having a problem with IE.?



               
Alright, screen is running like normal again, alls I need to know now is how to run my laptop in safe mode and can a system restore change my internet settings back to normal? I have cable high speed and it used to never pop up with the "Connect and "Work Offline" window.

To get to safe mode you have to press F8 and select it during the boot process.

If you are talking about a system restore to a system restore point, it will reset the system to where it was at the time of the system restore however it is designed not to reset things like internet settings.

If you are talking about a system restore disk which came with the computer, this will reset your internet settings to where they were when the computer was loaded with software but it will also reset a lot of other stuff.

Depending on which IE settings you are talking about, the Security tab has a restore default button as does the Advanced tab (both under Tools - Internet Options).
