My internet explorer keeps launching itself multiple times contained by the background. It pops up consistently, purely the one window but when i look at my duty manager its running 5 times! This is taking up 50% of my CPU usage and slowing me down a huge amount. Does anyone know how to stop this?

delete everything from internet option, if that dosen't work reinstall your browser
Get Firefox and uninstall IE and only reinstall it if you really entail to because some websites will only work on IE but I haven't see any of those yet.

To uninstall IE you need to click the "Windows Components" tab within Add/Remove Programs... but I wouldnt' recommend it.
You most feasible have some form of spyware/adware on your contraption.
