In windows 98 I visit hotmail/yahoo.com,interne... explorer shows illegal operation and closes down.how to fix?
I suggest you go to the Microsoft site and load all updates that are available. I do not know if Win 98 is supported any more and if they have any new updated BUT I suspect your system could benefit from updates you have not loaded.
If this does not fix the issue, you may have corrupted files that need to be reloaded and a reformat may be the best bet. If you reformat, save all your data elsewhere as it will be removed in the reformat. Be sure to have all device drivers saved elsewhere also.
