Internet Explorer is working. Messengers aren't. HELP!?



               
Everything be working fine this AM, then I fell asleep. When I woke up, my laptop have found it's way underneath my blanket, over-heated, and turned off by itself. After re-booting, my AIM and Yahoo! messengers be not connection, but internet explorer be going to websites. My internet says it's connected. I've re-installed AIM and Yahoo!

*I hold turned my router on and off.
*I hold re-installed messengers.

PLEASE Help!
Sounds like a DNS problem beside your cable company. Have you tried connecting to messengers on other computers? Chances are, the problem will fix itself, because it's either a winsock error or your cable/DSL companies idiosyncrasy =p It happens on instant, but only for a few hours usually. Click start, Control Panel, Classic View, Windows Firewall Or Firewall settings, (For Vista Click "Allow a program through firewall", Continue, Exceptions) (All other software Click Exceptions) Make sure that program/messesnger is allowed.

If it is it might be your AntiVirus blocking the messenger.
