I lost some of the tools in the tool bar in IE, can I recover them?

Rather than do all the rigmarole of recovery, may i suggest that you simply uninstall and download a fresh IE to re-install?

use search assistant if you have windows to find them, macs also have a search like this. it's on the start menu/apple sign. if it's still in your computer somewhere it'll pop up.

I would do a system restore if you have Windows XP it only takes minutes.. go to -- start/ all programs/ accessories/ system tools/ system restore. choose a date a few days before you lost your tools, it will restore in just a few minutes and reboot.
Right click on the tool bar -> click customize and you can select what buttons you want displayed.
Ask everyone in your home whether they have seen those tools anywhere. you might have misplaced them or lent them to ur neighbours...
just kidding.
you go to "View" -> "ToolBars" and select the toolbars you want to appear. you can select customise to make the toolbars suit ur need.
