Internet Explorer say Page cannot be displayed?
I know the router and ISP is working properly because the other two computers are working fine.
I tried going to Internet Explorer and going to internet options and reseting to non-attendance, but that didn't work either. I delete all impermanent internet files and cookies as well.
Tried typing my IP address surrounded by address box for linksys router (192.168.1.1), but it wouldn't work either.
My computer say I'm connected to the internet and the connection is excellent. Yet I hold on to getting the page cannot be displayed response.
Can someone tell me how to fix this please? Thank you.
Answers: Do you hold a software firewall like ZoneAlarm installed by any fate? If so, make sure that Internet Explorer or is not person blocked from accessing the internet.
You might also try pinging your router to see if it is competent to connect outside just the browser.
To ping your router shift to Start. Click Run... Type 'cmd' (no quotes) in the file box and hit enter.
This will open up a DOS resembling window call Command Prompt.
Type 'ping 192.168.1.1' (no quotes) and see if you get a response. This will check if your nouns is getting through to your router.
If it fails later it's a sign that the problem is with your nouns as a whole from your PC to your router instead of a short time ago your browser. If it connects, and replies back consequently that means your nouns is good. It's plausible a software problem.
For the encryption key, you will stipulation to know the security knob to access your router. Not all wireless cards knob this the same process so where you enter it depenwrap upon what type you have and what type of wireless system it uses. If here is an icon that allows you to connect to wireless networks (usually something near a "radio signal" icon surrounded by the tasktray at the bottom right corner of the screen) click on it, and then see if it list your network. Somewhere surrounded by the settings there should be a box where on earth you can enter the encryption key to your router. If you don't know what the switch is, ask the person who set up the guarantee on the router and they should be able to bestow you the right code to connect.
You might try re-entering the enctyption code in the laptop that is to say not working.
