What is better IE 7, Mozilla Firefox, or Opera?
Answers:
I prefer Internet Explorer, but I think speed has to do with so much more than which browser you use. Type of computer, how much RAM do you have, are you running pop-up blockers, have you done a defrag lately?
These all play into it.
Good luck.
hellno
Firefox.
ie7 ita much safer but opra is good
mozilla firefox [=
i think u should go with modzilla firefox that is what i have and it works great for me!
Mozilla Firefox is the best right now
opera ~ most anal retentive but most secure .... no java no zilch allowed
Mozilla ~ very secure, configurable, permissions for java ect to be allowed (use noscript and adblock addons)
IE ~ just like anything else microsoft... its designed so you dont have to think.. just click and go.. wide open most unsecure.
Firefox, you can set it to block pop up ads, and delete all your cookies etc. on exit. Also you have less chance of getting a virus or worm.
My choice will be mozilla firefox they have more protection, ie 7 you get a more chance of getting a virus and i dont know what opera is
opera is the best for speed. But i use firefox beacuse it is MUCHHHH faster than IE7 and it can be customized. I suggest you get Firefox because it is by far the best internet browser out!!
IE has a faster start up time but usually firefox will render pages faster.
never use IE its just a junk program
iv'e never used Opera so I wont comment
IE 7 and Mozilla are basiclly the same speed for me. i havent tried 'opera'. i personally like IE 7 just for the fact that it has the features that i like ( Favorites button. etc.)
When I was still on Dial-Up, Opera ran faster than Firefox. Haven't tried out IE7 yet since I don't trust IE anymore :P
I thought I was the last person on dial-up when we finally got high speed a year or so ago.
I found that Mozilla's Firefox was substantially faster than IE, and I ran both, sometimes at the same time. (I go to one site that isn't Firefox friendly.) I found IE7 was actually slower on a dial-up connection than IE6.
It takes about a half hour to download Firefox on a dial-up connection, then a few minutes to install. You do not need to register or give them your name, email, or anything else. They never send you anything at all. The AdBlock extension will further speed you online, since it blocks many display ads completely so you don't have to wait for them to open.
It won't do your computer any harm to have both browsers on it, but I recommend Firefox for daily use.
I would probably recommend Firefox. There are a variety of tools and plugins available for it, some of which help speed it up.
In general, the easiest way to speed up your internet browsing is to limit how much useless crap your browser downloads. I recommend getting a host file to block ads. (The source listed below explains more.) This will stop your computer from downloading all those banner ads that slow things down.
You can also stop your browser from automatically downloading images. This means you will have to manually choose to load images, but this will speed up your browser's initial access to web pages.
In Firefox: go to tools->Options select the "content" tab. Unselect the "load images" checkbox.
In IE (6): go to tools->internet options... select the "advanced" tab. Scroll down to the "multimedia" section. Unselect the "show pictures" checkbox.
Mozilla Firefox is THE BEST
Opera.
Anything thats not made by Microsoft would do fine.
