Is there a way to switch back to IE 6 if i've downloaded IE 7?
Answers:
If you installed IE 7 and wish to go back, I simply don't blame you. I don't like it either.
Here are the instructions. I hope that they work for you.
Uninstalling Internet Explorer 7
To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and restore Internet Explorer 6 when using Windows XP or Windows Server 2003
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
3. You might have to CHECK the box that says SHOW UPDATES
4. Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click Change/Remove.
If you cannot find Internet Explorer 7 in Add or Remove Programs, click Start, click Run, type %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst... and then press ENTER.
For more information, check this page at the Microsoft website. http://msdn.microsoft.com/ie/releasenote...
If you have further trouble, you might try the RESTORE thing in the System Tools folder and go back a few days before you made this terrible mistake.
Good luck
Try installing Firefox instead, break the dependency cycle!
Man...why are all you people installing IE7? Who the hell told you to do so? This is the 10th question about IE today I have answered.
All of you are regretting it after the fact.
You can't uninstall it or revert back. Try system restore and see if that works.
Go to Start>>Control Panel>>Add/Remove. You should now have IE6 back.
start/control panel/add remove programs
at the top check "show updates" radio box
scroll down in the list
you will see IE7 listed, uninstall that,
restart and you are on IE6
Uninstall IE 7 from the control panel Add and remove programs list. it'll revert back to the previous verison.

Remove Windows Internet Explorer 7 via Add/Remove Programs. You will find this in Control Panel.
