How can i remove IE from my pc?

Download another program like Firefox before you do, then eliminate the piece of junque called Internet Explorer 7 (HOWEVER, see note below).
I had to do this because the IE program was SOOO bad, it wouldn't show text in emails unless I was signed on as administrator and it wouldn't let you open more than 3 pages on any one site.
Some people have had luck going back to IE6 but others have not. There is a forum on this whole thing but I don't have the reference right at hand.
See first answer for using add /remove programs - but most people will tell you **IE7 cannot be uninstalled** (I believe this is correct, it is deeply entwined especially in XP) and some websites are said to run only on IE.

If your machine will allow SYSTEM RESTORE (like Windows XP) you should always make a new restore point BEFORE changing any programs.

is a serious change to your system requiring you to change registry keys which is 'dangerous' for non-experts. The site says:
"Step 2: Remove Registry Keys
Warning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk."

On one trial to solve the IE7 problem, we installed Firefox and tried to uninstall IE7 - the new combination did not work well, so we restored the system (basically re-installed IE7) but then made Firefox the default browser program and everything worked fine. This seems to be the best answer.

Be sure to delete IE shortcuts from the desktop and you may have to redefine keyboard keys (if you have them), This can be done using the Control Panel / Keyboard / Buttons.

Firefox will let you import all your bookmarks from IE6 or 7.
internet explorer? go to control panel;add/remove programs, look for internet explorer and remove it. make sure you have another web browser before doing that
ie6 is a file called iexplore under +program
