When I step to a search engine such as google or yahoo and type something within and click search, nought happens but if I type a url into the address inn it works fine. If I click a link on a trellis page some will work and some won't. Any idea what might be cause this?

it's a corrupted browser.... I'm going to assume you're using Windows XP, click start> control panel > add/remove programs> find windows internet explorer contained by the list, and click remove> click next> click yes afterwards reboot your computer... Now you're back to IE6... dance back to www.microsoft.com, download and install IE7 again and it should start working fine again
