I've had this problem as well. I found that when I downloaded an update from SBC it made my computer click. I fixed mine by deleting the SBC software that dealt with security as I was already covered through McAfee. This seemed a logical step as the clicking didn't start until I downloaded this software. This seemed to fix the problem.
Does it click randomly? If it does it could be something on the page refreshing. If it's a constant repetitive click that doesn't go away, bring up the task manager and go to processes and end every IEEXPLORE.EXE instance.
Its just some pages esp ads on pages are refreshed
Nothing wrong.
If you feel annoyed by click sound
turn it off in the Control panel> sounds > Sounds> No sound scheme , or selectively set no sound to I.E. there.
whenever something is downloaded (like an ad, or your points in yahoo!answers) that clicking sound might happen. only way would be to keep it mute i guess.
