Internet explorer encounters problem?

It sounds like you have badware. To clean your computer, follow these steps. These tools are verified by me and several IT professionals to be safe and free.
1. Download adaware from http://www.download.com/3000-2144-100459...
2. Install adaware and run it at least once to update the definition files.
3. Download and install spybot S&D from

4. Install SpyBot and run it at least once to update the program.
5. Restart your computer, and hit F8 before the Windows loading screen comes up.
6. Select Safe Mode. (http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsaf... for help)
7. Run Adaware and SpyBot in safe mode to ensure a clean system of spyware and adware.
ALSO, try HiJackthis if this doesn't seem to do anything to help. (It is a bit harder to use, but it will likely solve your problem).

Get Mozilla Firefox. It's better.
Switching to a safer and better browser as the previous Answer says would certainly be a better thing for you in the long run, but if you're determined to use the security abomination that is Internet Explorer for some reason then you could try a 'Repair Install' to fix it:

I dont 'believe' that this is a virus, although a virus can certainly give these kind of side effects.
Lets directly take care of the problem, and I will assume that you take care of any potential virus on another question. Hint: Four free products will solve 99% of your problems: Winpatrol, Avast, Superantispyware (much better than adaware and spybot), and ccleaner. Search the net for them.
Now your IE problem: You didn't state if you were a good computer user and actually did the critical update to IE7. Let me warn you now, you are going to hear a lot of people say crap about it. Listen - I've been an IT consultant for many years, I am all over the net (even the hack sites), I mainly use IE, and have NEVER had a crash or virus. The reasons are many, but I ALWAYS do the critical updates on the same day they come out.
Find "My Computer" either on your desktop, in your start menu, or within a windows explorer window. RightClick on it and select "Manage". Find the "Event Viewer" on the left side and click on the + next to it. From here, look in the Application, Internet Explorer, and System screens to see the actual error. Everything is time stamped if you dont know which one it is. If you see the red circle with an X in it, double click on it. READ WHAT IT SAYS. You will get a good idea of what caused the problem. You might want to click on the blue link in the window which will bring up a help center window explaining what the error means.
It could be 1,000 things, but this will at least lead you in the right direction. Good luck!
